Exactly. #Canadian #politicians and the #dinosaur Canadian #media want to have their #cake and eat it too: "If you carry #excerpts of our #articles, you must #pay. But you must keep carrying excerpts of our articles."

We gave them the choice of (a) carry the excerpts and pay ("link tax"), or (b) stop carrying them. There is no third option.

We can't validly criticize them for choosing one or the other; the choice was forced on them by us.
