Pleased that my Logie's predictions were proved correct.

Specifically, I predicted that I would not give a rat's arse about who won what or why (check!) and that I would be annoyed when the #ABC carried a story, as some kind of faux-news populist fuckwittery, about what clothes which dipshits were wearing on 'the red carpet' . (check!).

I begin to suspect that the editors, assuming that there are still such creatures, at the ABC News web site, are labouring under the mis-apprehension that "ABC" stands for the Anecdote Broadcasting Corporation.

So many stories about some individual's experience of something ... Bob was bitten by a dog ... Carol is being evicted ... Ted is suffering from some re-lived childhood trauma, and Alice is missing altogether!

Maybe it is supposed to make news stories somehow relatable? What it does is turns news and analysis into some kind of silly soap opera. Just stop it.

Don't get me started on how much I loathe "Here's what you need to know ...".

And I'm still a supporter of the ABC! Decreasingly enthusiastic of late, admittedly, but still I live in hope.
