Just because the product has Masters in it doesn’t mean it’s worth these prices.

For comparison, there were around 6800 fires fought in Berlin in 2021 in total (stats for 2022 not yet available). That's about 11% of all fires from the whole year happening on a single night or about 43 times more than a normal day.

Talking about it with one of my favorite managers years ago, she said “you’re good at it though!”
Friday I was offered a job by one of my customers. They offered to pay more than I’m making now+other perks.
Today I got offered a job consulting for another business. Surprisingly lucrative offer to freelance.
I guess my old boss was right.
I still turned them both down.
Because I hate this career.

The speed was 0.068x realtime (with libaom and default --cpu-used). This means a 15 min video ended up encoding more than 3.5 hours.
While the quality was "watchable" and slightly better than x265 at the same low bitrate, it's #notworthit yet, maybe unless you are a viral video hosting company.
