Last July ‘22 pre- #Novavax but post 2 #mRNA & 2 infections (3/‘20 & 1/‘22) had multiple low-dose exposures & was successfully able to fight off getting full #SARS2
It was a LOT of work after 1 when accidentally snorted a giant amount like Pacino at the end of Scarface after shutting my apt.🚪w/🪟shut air filter off… but managed to,so knew it could be done

Mostly seeing this in financial news, since this caused their shares to go up. I think it’s good news, but have to see if they get approval to sell it as more than just primary series or first booster in the US.

It would be preferable to get several #Novavax shots to shrink the antigenic range, however even as a booster imho think it’s far better than mRNA

@jeffgilchrist covers Novavax in his countless🧵 but anecdotally will say I much prefer it & won’t do mRNA again

My 4th💉was the only time I had any side effects & it was just bruising around vaccine site for a few days. Prior 3 had zero anything

It’s far more durable than mRNA⏱️

we get our💉💉in the right arm b/c the left arm seemed to give my spouse some heart issues w/3 Pfizer

During one of our #Novavax shots they tried to insist on giving the shot on the left arm b/c he was right handed & it would make his arm sore🙄

They didn’t understand why until he said he was concerned about🫀.. we were pretending for him to never have had any #vaccine to get around Novavax requirements so was otherwise mum about it

It was after the first Pfizer we switched to the right arm permanently. Realize it’s just an anecdote but… useful possibly🤷🏻‍♀️🖤

The new #CovidBooster is expected to be available in October. #Novavax is expected to be in the mix, along with #Moderna and #Pfizer. Most people in the US should be eligible, although they will not be free for everyone anymore.

Personally, I will probably plan to get the flu shot in mid-September and get them separately this year.

It’s all absurd & I bet much of the vials mostly went to waste. I assume you’re in Canada so your system is different than in the states. I guess it’s good she got the first 2, but a third would obviously been more ideal b/c it does wane

The gatekeeping on #Novavax is infuriating compared to #mRNA

I obviously believe it’s the best one available from all the studies I’ve read. We were lucky to be able to get it at a little pharmacy not far from our home. Neither of us have been sick with anything for over three years. And we have three kids in college that don’t want to hear about taking Covid precautions not to mention our parents who are worse in some ways.

We went & got #Novavax again yesterday; my 4th & my SO’s 3rd

I know we’re lucky to have access to it despite having to lie our a**es off & cross state borders. I had “legally” got one in #NYC where ID is required to access vaccines, but if you live in a state that doesn’t require it, just say you lost your wallet.

We were 2 weeks too early to get a booster for my SO so I had to pretend he was my anti-vax cousin who never had any vaccine. My spouse is dictionary definition rule-abiding yet…

Oh no! I’m so sorry. This is my worst nightmare & the reason I lied & crossed state borders multiple times to get #Novavax

Not b/c it’s sterilizing, but b/c #covid has #mutated to transmit from original 10-15 min to 15-30 seconds. Novavax for me has upped my #immuneSystem

Having had this beast 2x what I will say is zinc picconolate & mk-7 are the most important supplements. Vitamin A for mucous membranes but you need to be careful to not to go over RDA & if you smoke, then it’s not good to take.. but who still smokes in 2023😂 Also 1 Brazil nut every other day for selenium (more can be toxic) and a bit of seaweed for iodine; both support thyroid. And a
good refrigerated probiotic is a must. It destroys my microbiome every time. Next time use a nasal spray with the mask. Flo-Travel is my fave. And gargle AM & PM with hydrogen peroxide 1 part & 2 part water. You might also want to add cayenne pepper to your diet. It’s good for arteries & ofcourse turmeric for inflammation.

Also complete rest & don’t exercise for at least 3 months altho I usually wait 12-15 months which is extreme but I’m also lazy & not looking for reasons to exercise.

Again, terribly sorry this happened to you☹️😠It’s really difficult NOT to catch when you’re surrounded by people who are willing to harbor & spread #asymptomatic a #BSL3 virus & living life like they’re in a Studio54 alternate universe in their minds instead of treating it like the #plague that it is
