Never underestimate the mood-salvaging powers of electro funk.
"Mimosa Canopy" by E.R.P. might be going on repeat at my place today. https://frustratedfunk.bandcamp.com/track/mimosa-canopy

Saturdays are for subwoofers.
Pole's first three eps are a pretty good standby… Fahren (the first song on the second ep) always gets things going, although the bass takes its time before joining the party. #music #techno #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts #nowPlaying

Just thought to look up Colour Haze on Bandcamp, and they're definitely there!
If fuzzy desert / stoner rock with a little more groove than usual is a thing your brain could benefit from, give them a listen? (Also, bonus points to them for usually keeping the vocals down in the mix; vocals tend to be least-favorite part of any band.) #music #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts

Any time's a great time for Tommy Guerrero tunes on your speakers. Exceptionally so for a warm sunny Friday afternoon.
"Future Deserts" might help you start your weekend right: https://tommy-guerrero-too-good.bandcamp.com/track/future-deserts

No Moon's "Infinite Dreamz" is one of the best "what if Boards of Canada, but with different percussion tastes?" tracks I've heard in a long time.
Gentle reminder that if you've never heard Carl Craig's "Butterfly," you could remedy that right this very now. https://carlcraig.bandcamp.com/track/butterfly
You don't even have to be in Detroit! #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts #techno

Happily realized that Thievery Corporation are on Bandcamp.
Also happy to share that, from current experience, a breezy Friday afternoon is a great time to dust off some of their tunes… https://thieverycorporation.bandcamp.com/music #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts
Look, friend. I'm not saying *you* should be listening to Pole on a Saturday night with headphones or speakers that can do the sub-bass justice.
I'm just saying I feel I've made at least one good decision tonight.

fyi, dancing in outer space has thus far proven a pretty good way to ward off the excessively monday-esque parts of this particular monday

hopefully these results can be replicated, if you need the same? #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts
Speaking of "Artificial Intelligence," Derek Carr makes some of the best classic home listening #techno in the Warp records style that I've heard in quite a while.* https://firescoperecords.bandcamp.com/album/distant-systems-fs008?t=3
*I do have a sweet spot for B12-style understated head-nodding grooves, though. And this is on Firescope, the label run by half of B12. Is Rutter effectively B6?

Much as the Smashing Pumpkins' "Disarm" is better known around our house as "The Doorbell Song,"
"R.U.R." by John Tejada is quickly becoming known as "The Woodpecker Song." https://johntejada.bandcamp.com/track/r-u-r #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts
Realized how nicely the Om Unit "Acid Dub Studies" releases meld into the Pole colors / numbers releases universe.
"Red" (aka 2) and "Yellow" (3) immediately became my fave of the Pole eps, since they're the dubbiest. (Red starts with "Fahren" and Yellow starts with "Silberfisch"… but Blue is also quite nice!)

Just realized I can't recall seeing Tusken Raiders (the µ-ziq / Mike Paradinas project) mentioned here on Mastodon. Clearly an oversight to fix promptly!
Here's his "Raiderz Skank," from Bantha Trax Vol. 3.

It has recently come to my attention that the majority of people on here are _not_ referring to #IndustrialBassMachine when they write "IBM".
Internet users, divided by a common language. 🤷🏻♂️ #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts #electro

(welcome to another semester / quarter, those who celebrate!)
Every once in a while, cranking up the volume on Colour Haze helps knock some mental debris loose.
I think Tempel was the first album I heard, and I've still got a sweet spot for it as an excellent first listen: https://colourhaze.bandcamp.com/album/tempel
If you ever wondered "what if mostly-instrumental Jimi Hendrix, but motorik?" or "what if Pharoah Overlord just felt like making some smiling' & groovin' tunes?" this might be up your alley. #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts
Perfectly gentle/grismal weather at the moment for turning up the volume on Six Organs of Admittance's _For Octavio Paz_, and the amazing closer "The Acceptance of Absolute Negation"—one of the tracks that first made me really into him & acid folk more broadly. #nowThatsWhatICallBoosts
