Family physicians are still predominantly private entities with one big contract and they find and fund their own EMRs , choosing between 2 government approved vehicles - a Telus product and Accuro. Neither of these are a Oracle / Cerner product.

one MLA asks "where were the voices of the Physicians, Nurses and other healthcare professionals " on the ideas for retention, incentives, collaboration. Hmm, because there were NO announcements affecting these items. They are bogged down in College rules, union contract negotiations etc.

Medcine, nursing and many other health workers follow an almost apprentice model with OJT a huge portion of the education. How do we increase workers when the teachers are leaving?

Interesting, however shortage of ER physicians Canada wide. Many ER physicians haven't had true vacations in years compressing their work shifts into groups to get a week off and then paying for it on their return. ER medicine increasingly unattractive to new grads as well. So again asking overworked group to do more
