A slow emergency unfolds at Australian scale.

#NSWFloods are the worst in a generation and costliest on record, with many areas hit over and over. Some towns have had flash floods, while the great river systems will be in flood into the new year.

Whole towns have been devasted. Farmers have lost stock, crops and infrastructure. Road and public infrastructure is decimated. Fish are dying and drinking water dams are silted up.
