Took my wife and in-laws to see #ICLP on the #Taida campus, where I studied #Chinese for a summer 13 years ago (one of many places). Very little has changed! The admins greeted us and invited us to look around. I showed them this picture (2nd one) of me drinking coffee from my ICLP mug while holding my infant daughter 5 years ago.

A rather misleading #NTU media release claims that researchers examined the interfaces and privacy policies of 9 chatbots and concluded that none of them transfer or store any personal data (see PDF at https://www.ntu.edu.sg/news/detail/chatbots-can-help-treat-symptoms-in-people-with-depression).

But the actual article does not actually state they analysed the interfaces or privacy policies in any detail or conclude that personal data is not stored or transferred (link: https://www3.ntu.edu.sg/CorpComms2/Research%20Papers/chatbot.pdf) !
