Just heard on the radio that #Uber are planning to mandate "zero emissions vehicles" soon.

Wonder what they mean?

#ElectricVehicles rely on the power grid which still has a decent amount of #FossilFuel energy production.

#bicycles might not emit fumes, but cyclists pedalling hard up hills certainly do! (Both ends if they've eaten something volatile.)

AUKUS ALTERNATIVE…

The cost to Australia of the submarine program could be up to $368 billion over 30 years.

A more sensible approach might be for the AUKUS partners to negotiate with China on an arms control agreement to cap the number of regional nuclear submarines and avoid a hugely expensive arms race for all concerned.

While I have to pay significantly more for my license plate tax, I pay significantly less for my go juice.

Best part is I only paid about $7500 for a good 2012 model in 2017 and a brand new battery in 2018 for another $4000. At the current rate of battery consumption, this thing will last a decade easy, and no maintenance!
