This portrait of Cook on the 1970 50 cents from reminds me of the modern Jefferson Nickel / 5 cents from the . Is it just me?

Ok, now I sit them next to each other, maybe not, I think it's just the similar profile angle.

Sorry everyone except people - although others are allowed to be interested!
I have a particular interest in the coins (Republican only - no coins in my collection!) of the and the
During the Civil War of 1936-1939, the Republic (Democratically elected, Left leaning, promoting education, women’s rights, and reducing the power and wealth of the and church) was attacked by a insurrection, eventually led by the odious .
France, England and other European powers adopted a policy of non-intervention, but Franco and the fascists were supported by Hitler and Mussolini, with arms, artillery, ground forces and aerial support - the notorious of the firebombed the peaceful town of , in one of the worst atrocities of a brutal war.
The Republic ran out of money, after sending the Spanish gold reserves to Moscow, in exchange for arms and materiel, so local towns and villages were authorised to make their own - “monetarised anarchy” is a good description of the currency in circulation.
In the small village of , the local blacksmith, Sr Ricard Martí, made these coins out of zinc packaging from a shipment of carbide from the Basque Country. He cut the packaging, and stamped each coin by hand. They are extraordinarily rare, simple, and fascinating. 1 peseta and 5 centims shown

Dear and - do any of you have much knowledge about the ? I understand that after , the Revolution of 1868, which overthrew the Borbon monarchy, in the form of Isabel II, and led to the 1st , some areas, including Murcia, wanted to go further. Apparently, the Red Flag was raised over the Town Hall in Cartagena in July 1873, inspired by the Paris Commune. The Centralist government besieged Cartagena, subjecting it to intense artillery bombardment, except for a period when the artillery corps of the army went on strike (!). This coin is a rare silver 10 reales, issued in 1873 in the besieged Cartagena - the period is fascinating, but I’m not aware of any good sources - tips appreciated!
The legends translate as “Cartagena besieged by the Centralists, September 1873” and “Cantonal Revolution, 10 Reales”

and others have raised concerns that the conclusion is an overreach. Many 'barbarous' imitations of are known, often with nonsensical blundered legends. The press has tended to take the announcement at face value, though some reporting includes comments from skeptics:
