So there should be no space after the first letter, which confused me; the squiggle is a beta; and the 'epsilon' is an upsilon sat on top of an omicron, henceforth to be known as a unicorn. Which gives Επιβαλὼν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἐπ’ ἄροτρον οὐκ ἐβλέψεν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω (not sure re accents, as I did a bit of cutting and pasting).

This Greek inscription on a memorial stone in #ExeterCathedral was a fun puzzle for @pennyendersby and me back in August.
The lettering and layout are all over the place. Are those really rho? Is that an epsilon at the end of the first line? What is that odd scythe-like shape on the second line? And above all, what on earth is that loopy squiggle? Zeta? Theta? even Xi?
