"Catriona Jackson, the chief executive of Universities Australia, is expected to use a series of meetings in Washington DC this week to explore “how Australia’s universities can support the delivery of Aukus”.

Universities Australia said Jackson was due to meet with national security officials from the US Department of State and representatives from the National Science Foundation. The schedule also included meetings with university sector leaders “to discuss research and national security partnerships”."

Thanks to brave Jewish students, the #NUS is confronting its antisemitism and has released its own very disturbing report https://www.nus.org.uk/independent_investigation_into_antisemitism

"Nobody had any 'special status'", said the #NUS #antisemitism report's author. Perhaps that was true, but the full extract seems to suggest otherwise. Only the UJS seems to have been consulted in relation to terms of reference. If nobody else was consulted, then this was 'special status', by default.

Cringeful report into alleged anti-semitism within the #NUS

Let's be very clear:

(1) #antisemitism is abhorrent

(2) Israel's oppression and occupation of #Palestine is equally abhorrent.

(3) Criticising #Israeli politics does not equate, automatically, to being antisemitic.

(4) Israel is populated by 75% Jews. It thus means that the population as whole, Jewish or not, must reflect on what its governments have done in Palestine for decades, contrary to several United Nations resolutions.
