@fdelapena it sucks that we moved to #nutanix as our hypervisor and there's no reason it couldn't support spice, but they arbitrarily turn it off

Spent the last few weeks migrating our stack from #vmware to #nutanix #ahv. Went really smoothly except for a few bumps related to our directory servers running server 2022.

Cant help but feel like the product is just a very simplified (even at times dumbed down) #ovirt / #rhv - which was what we were originally going to migrate to before #redhat said the product was end of life.

Maybe simple will be good. At least it's not vmware

Today was surprisingly* my last day in the office for the year, which coincided with me giving a presentation to cover the work we've been doing over the course of 2022. It was a smashing way to end the year.

(contented sigh) Just ending off this quarter's Nutanix Wellbeing Day - an unexpectedly great employee perk where we get a day off each quarter to do whatever makes us happy.

Unlike paid vacation, I'm finding there's less pressure to "quick, relax!" and instead was able to spend the day doing lots of little chores around the house that have been bugging me for ages. I feel all the better for it, which is exactly the point.
