Since #NVDASR is a 32 bit app, does that mean that I'll get better results with the 32 bit version of #LibreOffice?
YAY! Totally jazzed to see that the #GoldenCursor #NVDASR addon got revived again! Now I can fix my #OBS hotkeys without defining a zillion uses for Shift because I was trying to shift-tab. Whew!!!

For those who use the Piper voices add-on for #NVDASR I've just added an integrated "Voice Manager" where you can install new voices, and manage installed ones. So, no manual download, no TAR archives 🤗
A new version with the voice manager will be released later this month. Stay tuned!
@seedy @Tarrenvane I saw #NVDA used in a couple of posts about protests etc, and it took awhile to work out they were using it for "Non-violent direct action", which seems even more niche than using the stock market code for NVIDIA. As you say, keeping the hashtags to their main uses helps everyone though. Similarly #NVDAsr was often used on the bird site, but again, very niche - many people wanting to talk about the screen reader wouldn't know to use that so use #NVDA because it is obvious
@FreakyFwoof My #NVDASR favorites are:
1. Braille Extender: It's allowed me to pretty much ditch my keyboard when I have my Braille display available by assigning Braille commands to just about every key or key combo there is.
2. Quick Notetaker: I don't have to open a notepad app just to take something down or put some text somewhere to come back to. I just hit NVDA-Alt-N and write it down or paste it in, then save it, and NVDA-Alt-V lets me pull up all the notes I've taken in one convenient place.
Feel free to boost this for wider reach. In #NVDASR it says that it supports the SuperBraille display, which is mostly available in Taiwan. I'm super curious about this display. Is there a specific reason it's mainly only available there? I find it really interesting that it has no panning keys and you have to use a physical braille keyboard to pan it. Does anyone have one of these? If so, what are your thoughts about it? #BrailleDisplays
This #NVDASR reinstallation project is too time-consuming. "But have to do it to check if automatic updates come back.
Anyone know why #NVDASR will start reading a page with Firefox and then find nothing on the page? I know there's contents on the page since it starts reading it. The only thing identified after that is "clickable." Same thing happens if the page is refreshed. I haven't seen this reported as an issue yet. The page reads fine with Chromium based browsers.
Here's an example of a page. https://theconversation.com/aztec-and-maya-civilizations-are-household-names-but-its-the-olmecs-who-are-the-mother-culture-of-ancient-mesoamerica-206380

@brennen You're welcome, glad I could help. Like I said most of this is just stuff I've heard about through here or other places, but I'm not aware of any hash tags besides #accessibility and #a11y to follow for the space as a whole. On birdsite NVDA used the tag #NVDASR to ensure it wasn't confused with something else, but I'm unsure if that was carried over. A11y is an abbreviation of accessibility like how i18n is an abbreviation of internationalization, a supposed artifact of birdsite's original character limit.
