#NVMe #M.2 drives are so good,
and this is a cheap one in a B350 motherboard. Also, it's compressed, which makes it a bit slower.
For comparison, the slower drives shown here are older SSDs.
If you can use an NVMe, you definitely should!
I ran these tests because of customizing a config file for Star Citizen, and I decided to #geek out a little.

Yeah, that's not a thing. io_uring commands don't "map" to hardware, that's entirely _not_ how things work.
It took me some effort and a, frankly disconcerting, number of dump_stack() and pr_alert() to figure this out.

I know it's not DOA but based on the HDD I took out that was paired with it I'm comfortable it has a bit less than five years of runtime.

52 followers · 513 posts · Server miau.le-chat-a-velo.atIch hab vor ca. 1 Jahr eine #NVME mit 1 TB Kapazität gekauft. Heute würde ich ums gleiche Geld locker eine mit 2 TB kriegen, die ich aber nicht brauche. Wenn, dann würde ich 4 TB nehmen, aber ich brauch ja 2 TB schon nicht.
