Yes, one of the commentators on the high school hockey tournament was playing professionally in the Isobel Cup final last week. Another Whitecaps player chose not to play because she's busy coaching one of the teams playing right now.

Me: Cool! The national pro women's hockey league is having their semifinal and championship games aired on a sports channel. This is a step towards getting more recognition and hopefully player salaries above $30K.
Also me: Crap! It's not going to be a broadcast sports channel, it's on a cable one. How the heck am I going to watch this?

Good news: A major cable sports network is going to carry the Isobel Cup games! (semis and final) Women's sports mainstream getting recognition! Yay!
Bad news: The games will *only* be available there. So those of us who don't have cable are going to have to be creative in order to watch them.
