so I finally listened to Lux Aeterna and I'm not sure what happened to #metallica 's "we're a pretty good Metallica cover band" schtick, now they're a pretty solid #NWOAHM band that doesn't sound anything at all like Metallica. Like they kinda sound like somebody doing a poppy version of Lamb of God. It's pretty good, far better than St. Anger, which would be high praise from me if they weren't the most famous metal band of all time, and the absolute, unquestioned favorite band of my 20s.

also new #megadeth sounds like a bunch of dudes in a garage playing covers except one of them is actually an audio engineer for their day job. It's all just kinda unremarkable.

Say what you want about #acdc but Demon Fire is a solid AC/DC song that came out 35 years after TNT.
