@roadskater I get the notifications that the #NYPD took action and when I answer the survey I say I disagree totally with the result as I don't know what "took action" means.

@roadskater It really depends. I've had mixed success. For this particular issue, I know its going to be an uphill battle. I'm going to go to the Community meeting Wednesday and ask the Precinct 24 about their policy of ignoring ASP signs. That will be interesting.

@atthenius I cannot find a way to make a speeding complaint to #NYC311. Everything was about speed cameras.

Just found out that tinted windows on cars are not reportable by #NYC311. Have to call the NYPD precinct directly, but I'll also send a note to the #NYSDMV. https://dmv.ny.gov/registration/tinted-windows

@pchowla I file many complaints with #NYC311 and I could not find one. What you might do is text them or DM them on Twitter. Its almost better than their online website as the pictures load more reliably. They might create a complaint for you. I have their text number as 212 639 9675 though 311 might work too.

@jehiah Have asked same of #NYC311 and sent this to DOITT on 1/5/202 as correspondence #:1-1-3728924 "NYC absolutely should not use privately-owned sites to communicate. If nothing else DOITT should immediately setup fediverse servers for each NYC agency or organization."

@atthenius Assume they only responded because potholes affect cars too. Had to send info to #NYC311 as DM on twitter cause I could not figure out reporting any other way. Reflecting back, could have texted same. Will try this text next time 311-692. Will never call.

@irizoris I see #Nashville has a service called Nashville hub 311 where you can report such issues. #nyc311 is similar and it works really good with dept of sanitation, somewhat well with the #DEP here and badly with #NYPD.
