As noted by the reporter : "An estimated 370 New Yorkers die prematurely each summer due to hot weather .... Among those who died from heat stress, their place of death was most often an un-air-conditioned home ...."

Yet, the largest public housing authority in the Nation was essentially engaged in extortion against 16,000 vulnerable senior citizens, who had received air conditioner units at the beginning of the pandemic. And if the residents didn't give back the A/C unit or agree to begin paying electricity charges, the residents would face possible eviction. @dschwarz Most of #Manhattan apt buildings don't have parking lots unless one lives in a #NYCHA building or northern Manhattan. But yes if you have a parking lot, there should be chargers. I work with #HarborLab and they got 2 #BEVs. They are great but the garage in #Queens where they live doesn't have an AC outlet and a garage in #LIC where I ran into didn't have one close enough.
