A (#Seattle) Greenways friend who moved to #NYC emailed me randomly about the smoke; in giving life updates, I mentioned that we were suing the city for school tuition.

She responded with, "Is that what everyone does? I just assumed because we have our own lawsuit, not kidding."

What a stupid system. #NYCSchools

All #NYCSchools remote again tomorrow, Friday. Elementary kids were scheduled to be off anyway.

@Davidtoddmccarty I'm a NYC union public school art teacher. I enjoy my job, but I have little energy for my own work. I'm very glad for the benefits and retirement plan. I struggled as a freelance artist. But I'm ready to retire.... unfortunately Tier 6 city employees got royally fucked, they changed retirement from 55 to 63 with serious cuts. The #UFT ain't doing jack about it. I'll be out before then. #NYCTeacher #arteducation #NYCSchools #TeachersUnion
