Happy #Nyepi - Bali’s annual day of silence, where everyone stays inside for the day. Roads are completely empty. Beaches are empty. Even the airport is closed for the day. What a wonderful opportunity to stop and breathe for an entire day. Yesterday our landlord came by to leave an offering for the gods and pray for peace in the new year.

Will be offline for tomorrow because of #Nyepi.

Morgen um 6:00 beginnt hier #Nyepi, der Tag der Stille, und #Neujahrstag des Balinesischen Saka-Jahres, der 24 Stunden dauert.
In diesen 24 Stunden darf man keinen Lärm und kein Licht machen, Mobilfunknetze bieten nur Notfalldienste und man darf nicht aus dem Haus.
Die Balinesen beginnen ihr neues Jahr mit einem Tag der #Meditation, des #Reflektierens, in sich Kehrens, in #Stille.
Und das finde ich einfach wundervoll.
Ein Tag im Jahr einfach nichts! Kein Trubel, Stress oder Internet. Genial!
