Oh, New York Times crossword compilers. It’s all fun and games until you ACTUALLY get replaced by AI.
Sometimes a straightforward #NYTCrossword is nice. I enjoyed the themed, paired crossings today.

I went back to solve this past Wednesday’s #NYTCrossword after seeing a lot of grumpy complaints about it. While the #MadLibs-style storytelling in the across clueing was undoubtedly awkward at times, I applaud the audaciousness of this novel conceit.

Curious about today’s #Wordle - #NYTCrossword seeming thematic link. Just random, or an Easter egg?

I appreciated the clever theme in today’s #NYTCrossword, but the rest of the clueing was too literal for my taste in a typically straightforward Monday puzzle.

I loved the gastronomic theme of today’s #NYTCrossword, though I kept trying to make it more complicated than it actually turned out to be. I was very satisfied with the solve.
The Thursday #NYTCrossword sometimes can be hard to digest, but I find it’s usually worth taking a bite at my favorite weekday puzzle.

Maybe today’s #NYTCrossword wasn’t *quite* extremely online, but it definitely glanced in that direction. Themed answers were clever, especially for a weekday puzzle. One nit: lazy to reuse Grindr and Tinder in two unrelated clues.

Cute if literal-minded theme in today’s #NYTCrossword. I’m not a speedrunner (removing the artificial stressor of a timer is one reason I vastly prefer pen and paper), but this was a quick Monday solve.

Today’s #NYTCrossword was relatively fresh and straightforward, with a couple bits of clever cluing that made me smile. But overall too easy for a Saturday puzzle.

Looking like a weirdo in front of my fellow public transport users when I laughed out loud at the theme in today’s #nytcrossword 🥰

Would it be better if everyone just stopped reading the NYT and stopped referencing it?
It is, and has always been, a paper of the right and foe of workers and minorities.
Stop reading it. Stop doing their puzzles. Stop linking to it.
Delighted to receive this cute cat-adorned mini-crossword postcard as a thank-you for donating to @rexparker’s daily NYT Crossword blog (https://rexwordpuzzle.blogspot.com/). I’m working on solving it in my head instead of writing on it, although I do suppose it was meant to be filled in.
