Watching #PowerRangers with my kid and it seems like a huge portion of #NZ Actors (& and presumably crew) have been involved with the show for years but we never talk about it like we do with other NZ productions. Are we embarrassed? I don't think we should be.

They’re both documentaries. In Spring is an early Vincent Ward film about an 82yo kuia who looks after her disabled son. She’s referred to as The Burdened One, for reasons that quickly become apparent.

Great seeing important Aotearoa stories on screen. It’s shameful the crimes our pākehā systems still visit on Māori.

#NZTV #NZFilm Who remembers the NZTV Blerta series; subversive and Kiwi TV at its best IMHO. 'Wild Man' in a challenging 30 minute version (I cut both) was part of it, and a plot by Geoff Murphy to make a feature length movie with TVNZ money.
