Reading the #NZGreens digital policy. Some rather smart wording and intent here. Not strongly opinionated on the "what", but definitely is on the "how" and "why".
None of the other parties appear to have an angle on this.

Let's stop imagining that Labour are socialist. They are not and haven't been for decades. They're just another centre-right party - and continuing to move right (diagram is from the 2020 election).
If you want anything even remotely left wing, then you need the Greens.
"... This isn't a policy Labour believes in, it's a policy Labour believes will win. The party has made policy by focus group rather than by principle or evidence base."

I’m a lifelong Labour voter - with one exception, I party voted Greens in 2017.
But I cannot give my party vote to Labour this time. It must go #NZGreens for having the courage and commitment to back transformative change.
I don’t feel I’m facilitating the election of a NACT Gvt. A strong Greens showing this election benefits the overall centre left bloc. #nzvotes2023.
@paulhellyer I think we’ll see #NZGreens pick up 1-3 more % points, TPM possibly 1-2% more.
The 12% undecided is a significant number…the campaign could further potentially influence the outcome.
A very impressive interview from #NZGreens co-leader Marama Davidson on TVNZ's Q&A this morning. It's refreshing to have politicians and a political party focusing on long term solutions for problems that continue to grow and be a drain on everyone. #NZPol

Many cities in Europe have rent controls.
Housing cost policies in NZ typically focus on mortgage holders.
Providing greater protections for renters is long overdue.
As for landlords exiting the rental market - some might - but many still favour property investment with their excess capital. The scales have been massively tilted in their favour..it’s time for more balance.

@HamishMack @SJPONeill The media and their backers are shit scared 3.7 million NZers are going to find out they will be far better off financially with the #NZGreens tax reforms.
Greens tax policy hits the right note.
A welcome and timely addition to the overall tax and wealth distribution debate.
The more vociferous the response from the political right…the more they know this is a policy with strong electoral resonance #nzgreens #tax #wealthtax
The Greens present transformative tax policy - not tinkering at the margins.
Good to see a tax-free threshold and a minimum income strategy.
Prefer a CGT to a wealth tax, but it’s still - overall - a policy of change focused on real assistance for those on low-medium incomes.

Allowing Winston Peters to again play kingmaker at the 2023 election would be profoundly regressive for Aotearoa in many ways.
Firstly, a NACT + NZF Gvt would be unreservedly anti-equality, anti-climate action and patriarchal.
Secondly, Peters pet policies & increasingly perverse worldview would be indulged.
Thirdly, the influence of older NZers (70s plus) would dominate to the detriment of younger generations.
To avoid this #NZGreens really need to get their sh*t together #nzpol
@marksibly @esoterica
They were polling 14% under Meteria. When you only pull 8-14% of the vote, there's no point in refusing to play with others. That would see them marginalised as a purely back bench party.
With the climate crisis finally coming into everyone's focus, I'd like to see a greater Green vote this election. I'd also like to see the voting age lowered to 16 because they're the people who'll have to deal with the worst of what's ahead.
