You know you are living in a strange time and place where facts don't matter when the #NZPol media do a deep dive into the Labour Party's unannounced tax policy based on a rumour from the opposition. Hilariously, it turns out the far right #NZInitiative's Eric Crampton would rather the govt gave poor people money to spend on shit unhealthy processed food than make healthy options cheaper.

The problem with articles like this is that there are so many vested interests and hidden agendas in play it's hard to read and actually learn much

For instance, why is the #NZInitiative involved, and why are they leaking this kind of draft document

And it's not until the end of the document (who knows how many people read to the end?) that there is knowledgeable commentary from the authors.

"No funding gor this teport" - from an organisation who hides it's membership list

"No Govt has ever dealt with a pandemic like this" - because no one in NZ knows about H1N1, SARS

But at least their website has a great member quote talking about - his own work?
