Just got an email from #Flamingo scooters offering 20 mins riding credit for people that complete a survey. Sounds good so far, but the survey they link to is the #NZTA consultation on renewing the declaration of e-Scooters not being motor vehicles. You only get the 20 free mins if you agree that the declaration should be renewed (and take a screenshot of it)

I don't know - it feels somewhat wrong for them to be incentivising certain responses to public consultation. #NZ #Wellington

Consultation on bi-lingual traffic signs ends this Friday on 30 June. If you would like to make a submission, you can do so by either writing to rules@nzta.govt.nz or doing the online survey (see the link below). Here is the Google doc with some suggested responses and all the links you need. Let's not let the racists win this one.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency are taking over the monitoring of red-light cameras, and the issuing of infringements for traffic control offences at crossings and junctions, as well as other safety cameras and vehicles.
