While in #HawkesBay we gave my feet a mud bath… by walking the Bell Rock loop track! Unseasonal weather made the track through bush so ridiculously muddy!! Should have skipped out tramping through 2-4in deep mud in damp bush for 45 mins - Slipped and fell so often! But cool views when we finally reached our destination #nz Amazing escarpment! #nztravel #nz

As we were passing, while road tripping, we popped into the fantastic #HamiltonGardens to see the new Egyptian garden and passed fabulous #Sunflowers on the way. Hamilton Gardens are a must visit if you can in #NZ The Egyptian garden is lovely, but the most authentic part is the temple like entrance - I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Egypt- still a great space! #nztravel

Hubs is from West #Auckland, Titirangi, and Piha was his “local beach”, it’s his happy place. But today was a first, as we stopped on the way to walk the Mercer Bay Loop walk - just about an hour walk with a bit of up and down, at times in full sun, so hot 🥵 It’s stunning! As a childless adult, I need tips on what to do with an 18 year old visiting Aotearoa for the first time. My nephew is coming (from London) for 2 weeks on his own. I’m excited to get to know him as an independent human without his parents and want to make sure he enjoys the experience. I think we will go on an epic road trip. It isn’t long, so I think we will head south as quickly as possible. I have ideas for some highlights but would welcome other ideas 🥾🌊🏄🏽‍♂️:laserkiwi: 🙏
