His family returned yesterday on the one year anniversary to remember his life and mourn the loss of his life

@suldrew is trying out a less expensive intervention here in West Oakland. They've changed the light at 14th and Peralta to stay red in all directions for a couple of seconds before turning the signal green.

We also argued that we shouldn't need a pandemic to use simple design interventions to make our streets safer for bike and pedestrian uses! In fact we are living through an epidemic of , and should respond with street interventions just like this. Glad to see bringing them back through safe street design.
