So it's been a hell of a year but I'm half way up this magnificent oak on nearly the darkest day and I'm thinking how trees are rather better at dying than people. Bits of trees die all the time and they just accept it and carry on. Plus its nearly solstice so the oak king is about to be reborn. Lessons...
