There's a "perfect storm" of paper mills and reliance on legacy systems that is causing huge problems for publishers, says
@catmacOA chairing yesterday's #OASPA webinar "Scholarly Communication in Crisis". What are the solutions? #PublicationEthics #PaperMills #OpenScience

Welcoming Radboud University Press as an #OASPA member https://oaspa.org/welcoming-radboud-university-press/.
Good to see this new initiative in support of #diamondOA.
However, I feel a bit uneasy about the idea that "high scientific quality" needs to be ensured through "strict double-blind peer review". Why focus on high scientific quality? Wouldn't it be better to publish all research of a certain minimum quality? And why use double-blind peer review? Why not use preprinting combined with some form of open peer review?
#OASPA members open access articles. The Greek Review of Social Research is a member of OASPA.
Information covers the number of open-access articles across all journals (including hybrid) and the license under which those articles were published, up to the year 2021.
Interesting fact indicating the high level of publishing oligopoly (in my view):
The top 3 publishers now account for 52% of OASPA members’ output, the top 5 just under 70%, and the top 10 for 83% of it.
