@ia Is there a way to see the full names of #iaWriter files in the sidebar? I've searched online and can't find anything about it.

I'd welcome the option to either truncate or show full file names, as this is an important feature in helping my manual flashcard system work in iA Writer as well as in #Obsidian.

So the Longform plugin and a little foreman/reflex/Makefile magic means I can noweb on a markdown document and do literate programming in #Obsidian.

hmm, using iCloud Sync with #obsidian is not foolproof.

I just had a bunch of files go missing, had to dig into the `~Library/Mobile Documents/iCloud~md~obsidian` directory and run `brctl download` on every .icloud placeholder file.

Kinda yucky experience… and not sure why it decided to offload these files with >100GB free. 🤔

I want fewer app feature #PKM videos and more “I made this wonderful thing people care about using a PKM-based workflow and here's how I did it, step by step" videos.

I find myself refining my thoughts and ideas with #chatGPT more often than discussing something online like #reddit, #lemmy or blogging.

I just have a chat, condense everything and pop it in my #obsidian knowledge base.

I do wonder whether the web is heading this way for most non-professional content. Why should work so hard and risk sharing when my bot buddy is more accurate, efficient and doesn't strain my mental health?

Spent well over an hour trying to find a way to convert folders of #Obsidian .md files to .rtf (or .txt) files to reimport to Apple Notes because #Obsidian on iOS has been iffy recently. Tried #Pandoc but it won't install/work. I keep getting a path error (even with the Obsidian plugin), and Git Hub is far to confusing for a non-developer like me.

Think I'm going to just switch to plain text files and be done. It's easier.

Later this month, I will attend Cohort 10 of Action-Powered Productivity. The course is tool-agnostic. The attendees and alumni use #PKM tools like #Tana, #Obsidian, and #Logseq, and no one has only a single tool in their toolbox (so you'll see #DEVONthink, #Todoist, #Drafts, and many others). I have attended cohorts in the past, including the very first one, back when everyone was using #Roam, and I always get a lot out of it.

1. Где вы храните свои заметки?
2. Если git, то где - self-hosted репозиторий, просто p2p с другой машиной или приватный в облаке?
3. Если в Forgejo - это конечная точка назначения? Используете ли вы его или что-то другое в качестве средства просмотра? Публикуете ли для некоторого числа людей? Есть встроенные Sync и Publish-плагины, но я не хочу пихать это в облако.
4. Пользуетесь ли мобильной версией (здесь, полагаю, без sync вообще никак)?
5. Есть плагин obisidian-git. Насколько он облегчает жизнь, если вы в принципе и в консоли неплохо дела ведёте?
6. Лежит ли в вашем Vault что-то ещё помимо markdown-заметок? Я храню там некоторые последовательности действий в виде plantuml-диаграмм и редактирую их в Pycharm. Как зайду в pycharm, оттуда коммичу-пушу.
7. Используете ли вложенные git-репозитории в виде субмодулей? Условно, основной приватный, но внутри него публичный кусок.

К чему я это.

Я сейчас думаю сделать субмодуль посвященный проекту ремонта в загородном доме. Хочу делиться им с женой, чтобы вся информация по принятым решениям и идеям оставалась в одном месте. С квартирой я эту идею не дожал и сильно пожалел, потому что по половине дел я понятия не имею на чём мы остановились. Создавать отдельный Vault не хочу, чтобы не переключаться между ними. Но давать доступ до всех моих заметок тоже не хочу. Гитом пользоваться умеет, гитлабом тоже, в markdown писать умеет. Obsidian в принципе установить сможет, но мне кажется иметь возможность быстренько подсмотреть в браузере переходом по закладке чокаво - будет сильным плюсом. И вот думаю, есть ли что-то, что качественно рендерит эти маркдауны и даёт какую-то навигацию по хэштэгам?

Been long overdue to dedicate a good chunk of weekend time to #writing ! Decided to give @obsidian some love again since it's been a while.

Went ahead and updated to a new theme, and then I remembered...this app is so damn beautiful!!! 🤩 💯

It's always a choice between #notesnook and #obsidian , but when I'm on my #arch box it's almost always the latter! 🤘 :arch: 🔮
