Thanks to @josh I discovered Obtanium, which handles installing and tracking FOSS android apps directly from their source repos on Github, Gitlab, etc. Good stuff!

Installing #Foss in #Android is getting easier with @fdroidorg #ffupdater and #obtanium. And usual all lack something that the other have. FFupdater updates effortlessly in the background but it's only for browsers. F-droid has a huge list of software but doesn't update inthee background. And Obtanium is great for different kind of repos (including F-Droid) but also doesn't update in the background. Please share and copy each other 😃

What do you think about Obtainium apps installer on Android?
It allows me to download/install apps directly from Github/Gitlab/Codeberg. Is it safe for you?
Thanks in advance.

So viele Fragen :)

Okay, the more I use #Obtanium, the more I like it.
My Megaladon app was showing it had an update available, but it didn't show up yet in F-Droid. I added it to Obtanium and got the update directly from their GitHub. Digging that option.
