I'm going to visit friends in Portugal soon. It's been a long and painful #MeCfs #Fibromyalgia #OccipitalNeuralgia winter. Going to Portugal in March usually helps me break out of winter mode and start to rebuild my energy and repair. I don't know if it's the warmer weather, the sea air, the wonderful food, good friends, or the combination of them all, but something helps. I don't go out at home, so I've been #Knitting over the winter a few new items to take with me.

So the nerve pain has connected between my neck and my eye which means the Occipital neuralgia episode is racing down the tracks. I've taken diazepam and tramadol to try and slow it down, I'm icing it and rubbing Fenbid gel into my neck, but I know it's at the stage where I can't stop it. I need one more day before the pain takes over - my son leaves for Uni tomorrow. #PainSucks

@donovan Doesn't it feel amazing when you find something that actually helps. I've been on Topiramate (a different epilepsy medication) for a few months for #migraine #occipitalneuralgia and it's the only thing to touch the pain levels. I was having nerve blocks but they were no longer helping, painkillers didn't touch the pain at all and the pain was sometimes intolerable. For the last few months my migraines and occipital neuralgia don't last as long and are now manageable.

Was is the etiquette for showing support on here. If someone writes a piece saying they feel awful, or having a bad day, is it okay to favourite it. I'm not always up to writing something, is there an emoji or some phrase we can use to show we care.

I sewed a book once - https://www.invisibleworks.co.uk/product/a-little-book-of-grieving/ and a lot of people liked it which was nice.

And then I get a lot of headaches (#migraine, #OccipitalNeuralgia) and fade from view because it hurts to think.

And this is what I'm working on right now
