Great article! My only recent experience with #VirtualReality was a 30 second trip in my nephew's #Occulus (30 seaonds was long enough). The graphics quality and general feel of the place made me #nostalgic for the Virtual Reality Experience at the #MallOfAmerica back when that place was still new and exciting (late 1980s).

#Occulus Rift Headset , meine ersten Gehversuche in der Raumstation. Schade , die schöne Tracy Caldwell (Mission No 24) hab ich dabei nicht getroffen. Nach 45 Min wurde mir auch ohne die Schönheit schwindelig😨

It's been at least 23 years since the #wearable computer's been touted..
It's still all platforms and no protocols.. It's still far off.
But this #HMD and that #headset! sure! all day those #vive and #occulus thangs.. until they don't anymore.
Those aren't display hardware, they're human capital siphons; you're the peripheral.
They're platforms. Display hardware should be for protocols.
Otherwise, forget it.
I'm the crazy one though, right?

The M60SBS now arrives and departs from the boonies. That whole sum was a handout to the airlines. The Occulus? Some consider it pretty. I consider it barren.
