Maybe this won't always be true, but for today I can follow tags as broad as "Music", "VideoGames", "NYC", or "Boston" and not get washed away with a flood of constant toots the way I might expect elsewhere. Maybe a handful per hour, for each tag.
(Omitting #Octothorpes because this post isn't actually about those topics!)
