The latest #Bloomberg #oddlots episode, and it's about #SVB of course.
They interviewed Dan Davies, an actual bank analyst to talk about what happened.

I think a lot of people on here will like this one https://open.spotify.com/episode/5VOLE2QQSdeT2AcwRc2EVu?si=02b2fa59017d4a0a #OddLots #surveillance
Today’s #OddLots interview with economic historian Brad @delong is one of the best episodes I’ve heard. The tour through the graveyard of hubris and greed is always illuminating but this is a particularly thoughtful/action packed conversation.
I found the discussion of the ‘00s fiber optics bubble especially interesting, because 1) my professional life has been fueled by the surpluses of that fraud/collapse, and 2) I’ve run into a some of the profiteers from that scandal

#oddlots is one of my favorite podcasts and I hope you enjoy this episode on how Apple is ruining the targeted ad industry https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-11-03/mark-bergen-on-apple-s-threat-to-the-online-ad-industry?srnd=oddlots-podcast
I just listened to the #Bloomberg #OddLots podcast episode on trucking in the US. Fascinating interview, but what I would have asked: can the lack of economies of scale be due to regulation? They allude to it: big companies need to follow the law to the letter and get sued all the time (=costly), while smaller operators can maybe take some shortcuts and thus be cheaper?
