my #odroidxu4 will not boot #armbian, at least not fully (graphics wont start), possibly an sd card problem but i rather doubt it. this card came in very legit sandisk packaging and worked before. and the disk image sha256 was verified.

Just dug my #odroid #odroidxu4 out of a box and it wont update. Probably because its running ubuntu 17.10. YIKES.

Dommage que certaines ne soient pas compatible pour ARM. Restera à faire du custom.

I am using this #Linux #Mastodon client #Tootle and so far the experience is pretty positive. It alleviates memory pressure since I could close the tab on Firefox, is pretty slick even though lacks some basic feature like (you may have noticed it...) spellchecking and emojii selector.

This sounds weird but I am using #ubuntu (shame on me) on the #OdroidXU4 and it is amazing browsing Internet, Gemini and the Fediverse from a VNC session!

Despite #Ubuntu the #odroidxu4 worked surprisingly well... Yes of course Ubuntu has been annihilated and resembles more #Debian. The secret ingredient is the venerable #WindowMaker or #WMaker, it has some limitations though for instance I replaced #Thunderbird with #ClawsMail. :flan_strong:

Unfortunately the initial idea to use #NetBSD as daily driver shipwrecked in the oblivium. The partial support wasn't enough to squeeze out all the horsepower available... :flan_sad:

apparently the #odroidXU4 doesn't have the HDMI working, but this is not a blocking deal for me, because I want use it as VNC Server.

However having the GPU acceleration would be desirable although not mandatory; does anyone of you if this works out of the box?

Hi guys I must ask you to lend me a bit of your brain, if I don't mind you!

My little #odroidxu4 is impatience to be used with #NetBSD however my current monitor only supports DP and VGA...

Now I discovered that you can only launch a signal from "DP to HDMI", and it looks like to make the opposite, you must use a very expensive adapter that requires an additional USB plug, I guess to get more energy.

Now I am in doubt to buy a "HDMI to VGA" Cable or to buy the aforementioned "HDMI+USB to DP" with the risk of frying the USB port.

What are your thoughts? :flan_shruggle:
