Inez wird aus dem Gefängnis entlassen und versucht mit den ihr gegebenen Möglichkeiten, in Brooklyn wieder Fuß zu fassen & unter den widrigen Umständen von Armut, strukturellem Rassismus & Gentrifizierung ein normales Familienleben aufzubauen. Der Film hat mich in seiner sensiblen und nuancierten Art, die Verhältnisse & den "Struggle" darzustellen sehr berührt. Schauspielerisch auch sehr beeindruckend.

Film studio #A24, riding high with Oscar nominations for #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOne and #TheWhale, has purchased the historic #OffBroadway #CherryLaneTheatre, which seems to be a step forward in the studio's desire to produce non-film projects. #stage

Went to an off-Broadway filming of Eddie Izzard playing 19 characters in the Charles Dickens’ classic "Great Expectations." It was a great study in acting and story telling with minimal production enhancement.

The producers were also stars in rescheduling my tickets for comparable seats after I missed the original performance date due to my first bout with Covid -- a very considerate accommodation.
