We met at #offdem, and was showing your token of appreciation to my 7y old, he is impressed :)

I tried to login into your wiki, but not sure it is the best place.

As a "producer" of ewaste, I'm wondering if there is already a page that sums up best practices.

I try to avoid ads, holiwood movies, compulsive buying. I also try to repair when I can. I mostly buy second hand hardware. (Quiet proud of my second hand laptop I bought in 2017 ;) )

But then I still have questions:

Wish I could be at #OFFDEM in Brussels today but instead I get to teach manual machining students so it's still a good day.

Thinking about the #FOSDEM and #OFFDEM debacle. I understand the argument against having Google as a sponsor but does this sponsoring in anyway compromise FOSDEM or is this purely an ideological issue?

It seems that #OFFDEM doesn't have any video streaming. They have some vague "diversity is important" statement @ https://foss.events/about.html#diversity — but if they really valued diversity, wouldn't they have a stream for people to follow along at home too? *Especially* in the midst of an ongoing pandemic?

Hopefully there will at least be some recordings to watch later.

I am really split between meeting the #haskell community at #FOSSDEM and meeting anti surveillance captilasist FOSS community at #OFFDEM
I am thinking I will go to OFFDEM and just hope that other haskellers show up too

Really looking forward to #offdem. Nice to get away for a few days, meet some new people and widen my perspectives.

How did the time fly and in which direction did it go? :)

It might also serve as a backup soft question if there is nothing else (so just talking about how life is maybe in any specific or generic sense for this or anything in life)
