#HamRadio tip for folks just starting to figure out HF digital modes like FT8… lots of tutorials/guides tell you to set radio’s RX filter(s) as wide as possible.

Look at the signal numbers for KO4PDI. Was -24, pretty much the minimum decode-able sig level. Then I narrowed my RX filter to 500Hz & shifted it left to center on where they were. On the next cycle, they were -6… very strong.
