At the moment our off grid system means we make our own bread in a breadmaker, use an induction hob for boiling/cooking, and now have the added bonus of a wee oven to bake things in. It is certainly big enough for a couple of small pies, a small stew, and even a few oven chips. And definitely a couple of baked tatties.

On more power saving quests, 'found' a Mele branded chinesium mini PC I forgot I had. J4125, 8GB RAM, 128GB Foreseee eMMC on the board, along with Intel WiFi and BT (powered by the SOC). Running #homeassistant OS it's idling at 1.8W. Add the #sonoff #zigbee dongle and it's just over 2W. Interesting that using a NVMe SSD in it instead doubles the power use (OEM Kingston 128GB with 8 Intel NAND packages and SMI controller). #homeautomation #offgridliving

#OffgridLiving news: This time of the year doesn't have enough solar power, for us, to fill our battery, and the wind has been less than ideal too. So yesterday was a day to run the generator to put some charge back in the battery. The battery was at about 60-65%, but as it's new I didn't want to take it down too far.
Still happy with the amount we need to run the generator. Someone I know, whose system was professionally installed, needs her generator ever few days.
