I'm supposed to run this big report today. It's my job now because the woman that was doing it is on mat leave. Except that my notes seem to miss a few steps. They go from one to three, then start up again around six.

They just sent out the details of the return to office mandate. They specifically had a line saying that they want your butt in the office even if you only work with people in other cities.

I'm getting the impression they really just want us physically there for #tax and #accounting purposes.

I wish this could be delayed until after construction completes for that apartment in the middle of one of the parking lots. It really messes traffic up.

Left my AirPods at home today, due to a small deviation to my usual morning routine. It's amazing how bereft I feel without them. I have become very conditioned to using them to shut out so much of the office noise around me.

Left my swipe card/lanyard at home today. First time in a long time. Everything is just that little bit harder with a temporary card. No access to locker or printing - not without another bit of faffing around anyhow. It's amazing how dependent you are on that card.
