My dad sat at my kitchen table and drank tea, and picked up my (still unread) copy of #JudithButler ‘s Gender Trouble, and started reading while I cooked dinner. I mentioned I got it because of her excellent introduction to the 2016 edition of #OfGrammatology but that her earlier work was infamous for being a bit heavy going.

And my dad is like, no, it makes sense to me. He read the conclusion first to see what the point was, read the sentence out loud and was like “makes sense!”
