The focus on the Ohio train disaster shouldn't be on the aftermath reaction....but why lobbyists are still being allowed to prevent regulation that would have made the railcars safe in a derailment. I know from actually working in this area, tech exists that would have prevented the "disaster" aspect of the derailment. There are ways to make those toxic chemicals inert in an accident, but it adds substantial cost to the railcar.
