Yesterday, I showed you the photo of the tattooed #tree. A hero, this tree. At first, the tiny ones settled in this area: #bacteria, #fungi, then #lichens. They created the #soil that wild herbs needed. #Birds dropped seeds, unmolested in the restricted area. #Trees grow but extremely slowly. Some then reach down too deep with their roots into the old poison. Our hero lived on top of an ancient #OilMine. 60 yrs after the end of #mining.
