My last artwork of 2022: I spent New Years Eve doing something I haven’t done in a really long time… making an #AllaPrima #portrait over one long afternoon, soup to nuts. Dunno why I don’t do this more, maybe I should make it a resolution? It’s a nice break from all of the meticulously planned pictures I’m working on, to just… make a painting. And not think too much more about it than… that. The model is Venecia. HNY, folks.

The size was quite big for me, it was very difficult to paint, but also very rewarding. I have to do more bigger paintings like this.
