I appreciate this piece from journalist Judy Woodruff recognizing the Oklahoma City bombing anniversary by examining what extremism looked like when 168 people were murdered 28 years ago, and the parallels to what extremism looks like today.
Worth your time to watch.

from former President Bill Clinton:
“Today I’m thinking of all those who lost their lives in Oklahoma City twenty-eight years ago, and hoping for their loved ones’ continued healing. We will never forget you.”

not one of my favorite days in history. on this day in 1995, I was working in downtown Oklahoma City. April holds a lot of sad memories for me, but the #OKCBombing is a source of trauma I don’t like to revisit other than to remember those who were lost. Here are some pics from the memorial that I took at a later date. You can see the chairs that represent each person who died, w/ our church in the background. The Faith wall is under the survivor tree.
I just want to point out today on the 28th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing that American fascists are on the side of Tim McVeigh.
You're doing exactly what he hoped you would.

Sure seems like a lot of Oklahomans need a reminder that McVeigh was at Waco to show his support and directly cited Waco as one of the reasons for the #OKCBombing of the federal building.
