if you have to sign digitally many #PDF documents, then follow the next steps:
1. create a new certificate with #certutil command:
certutil -S -s "CN=[ your full name ],O= [ Business or School ],OU=[ Deparment or position ],L= [ Location ],ST=[ State ],C= [ Country code ],E= [ your email ]" -g 2048 -d sql:$HOME/.pki/nssdb -n [ new name of certificate ] -x -t "Cu,Cu,Cu" -p 405-555-5555 --email [ your email ] -m 1234
2. List the created certificate:
certutil -d sql:$HOME/.pki/nssdb -L
3. Use #Okular and go to: Settings > configure backends > PDF
4. In the section: Certificate database, choose Custom and enter this path: $HOME/.pki/nssdb
5. Apply and Restart Okular, and then you'd see the available certificate in the option of step 4 to sign digitally.

There has been some #strange behavior lately when going between #KDE #Okular and #GNOME (this started last week)
#Mastodon refused to let me upload this file as #WEBM, #MP4, #MKV, or #3GP, so I had to convert it to #GIF.

Uh, apparently #KDE #Okular can't display alt text on images. Does it completely ignore it, or is it only read by screen readers?

For example, the following LaTeX code generates a PDF that contains an image with alt text:

The most future-proof solution for digital #mindmaps and similar illustrations that I found is:

1. drawing them in #Inkscape freely (I am very used to this super-powerful program)
2. turning some objects into links to #Logseq pages/blocks using logseq:// scheme
3. export them as PDFs

#Okular (PDF viewer) recognize logseq:// links and the right Logseq page/block is opened when clicking them. Nice!

What I am missing: Logseq built-in PDF viewer recognize only https:// links, not logseq:// ones.

Meines Wissens kann #Okular fast alles. Aber schwärzen ist selbst für Editoren schwierig. Aber das beste Tool dazu ist vermutlich #scribus. Aber auch #libreOffice und #inkscape müssten das können. Es reicht beim schwärzen nicht was drüber zu malen.
