A bit late but Friday was the 124th anniversary of the birth of Doris Speed (Annie Walker, the original landlady of the Rover's in Coronation Street). I was chatting to a friend recently and mentioned The Secret Life of Machines. It reminded me that there are a fair amount of new people on here from the demographic that would have watched it when it was first broadcast.
