#ParkRun 32 done. Bethlem is significantly 'different' from our normal (very very flat and easy) course. So I always sort of dread it as I know I'm going to struggle. But equally I know I'm going to get more out of it and the day I manage to get round without stopping will be a day of national celebration and marching bands. Today was not that day, but OF COURSE I feel amazing.

If I can serve as an inspiration/warning to anyone..... If you're in two minds about getting out and about and going for a run - JUST DO IT. I promise its worth it. Even if it's not a PB. Even if you don't absolutely crush it. It'll be worth it. You'll feel better - more positive. You'll blow away the cobwebs and some of the negativity. And if like me you struggle greatly with the Black Dog, it'll do wonders that pretty much nothing else can.

For those that manage, I salute you.

30th #ParkRun done this morning. My youngests (12) first one. She did NOT enjoy it. But she did it and for that I am super proud. We ran roughly half, but then wife ran off and left us to walk which I was a bit miffed about, but when we got back I went to the gym and did a pretty good 5k so felt good for that then did the garden which has been overgrown for a while so was a bit of a mission. But it meant I managed to get twenty thousand steps in before midday, so feeling pretty chipper about that. 4weeks until the Bacchus 10k and I'm honestly a little nervous about it. It's nothing to most people I guess but I've had to work very hard just to get to where I am!

A nice flat and fast run at Cassiobury parkrun in #Watford this morning. I came in 156th place on 26:31. Pending confirmation, this could be my #parkrun PB.

Where are you all running this week? I am over half way through my 60 miles fundraiser for the MND Association and feeling good. Plymouth Argyle #pafc are playing in Watford on Saturday so in the morning, my #parkrun fix will be at Cassiobury Park Watford. I had a walk there yesterday and it seems mostly flat but the weather is warm and humid. Hope I can get a good time.

Good luck to all who will be doing #parkrun this weekend. Due to the commitments I have during the UK #football season, whenever my team, Plymouth Argyle, are playing at home I cannot do a parkrun on that same day. On the plus side, following them around the country means that I will get the chance to be a tourist in new places this season. Next week, that will mean a visit to #Watford to do the parkrun at #Cassiobury so I am looking forward to that.

As my pregnant friend is no longer pregnant (she's now a mum for a third time), I was free to run to my own pace. Managed a watch time of 27:41 at #Plymvalley #parkrun which might be a course PB for me if the official time is close to that.

Took a train to Taffs Well this morning and then ran back to Bute Park in #cardiff #runnersofmastodon #oldermenrunning

The EFL fixture lists were published today and I have sat down and planned the trips we will be making for away matches. We came up with 6 trips, 5 of which include a Saturday and therefore an away parkrun as well as an away match.

My legs are still wondering what I did to them this morning by taking on the #MountEdgecumbe #parkrun.A ridiculous amount of uphill was involved, almost from the very start. I don't know what my official time is yet but I stopped my watch at 31:50 and finished in 136th position.

Oh, and I met my first fellow Mastodoner (if that is a word)! @ColonelRed great to touch base.

I spent today thinking what I wanted to do for my weekly 5k fix tomorrow. Should I go up the road to #Tavistock for the monthly Tavy 5k? Or perhaps go back to Central Park in #Plymouth where the Central Park parkrun is commencing again on a different route? But no. I have settled on crossing the River Tamar to visit the Mount Edgecumbe #parkrun which I am told is rather hilly. It will be a bit different taking a ferry to a run!

Today I completed my 25th #parkrun at Parke Road in #Devon and what a challenging run it is. The first hill, and it’s a long one, is just a couple@of minutes in. The racers run up it while the majority (me included) slow to a walk. The majority of the route is on mud tracks which luckily were all dry this week. One more short but wicked hill around the 4k mark and then it is an almost straight run for home. Official time 29:51 and 67th finisher out of 126. #runnersofmastodon #oldermenrunning
